City Health Care Partnership deploys Cayder PFM™ (Patient Flow Management) solution   Solution will help to deliver coordinated and integrated care, improving efficiency and patient outcomes       Hull - 17th May 2013 - Healthcare staff at City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) will be able to manage patient care more effectively across multiple community sites, following an implementation of a patient flow management solution (PFM) developed by Cayder. With patients due to experience improvements in their care pathway, including more contact time with health care professionals, Cayder PFM is supporting the Partnership's aims to deliver better, safer patient-centred joined-up, pro-active care services.   Following the deployment, which is now in the final stages of testing, staff at CHCP CIC will be able to realise the quality and cost benefits associated with the Department of Health's Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention (QIPP) initiatives such as Releasing Time to Care. It will also help to improve the experience for professional staff delivering care, enabling them to spend less time on administration and more time on the patient.   CHCP CIC, which is a Community Interest Company, provides community, primary health and integrated social care services to over half a million local people in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, employing around 1,400 staff. The partnership is deploying the Cayder Patient Flow Management solution for its community setting, helping to relieve pressure on the local acute trust by facilitating the speedier discharge of patients into intermediary care.   The Cayder PFM solution will provide CHCP CIC's Intermediate Care and Reablement Care service teams including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, technicians, and administrators, with an at-a-glance view of the current location and status of all patients or any subset of patients - for example, patients on a particular ward, viewable via an electronic whiteboard. It also supports quick, easy bed management, including real-time information on current bed status, as well as facilitating the quick allocation of beds for referrals and internal transfers. Prior to the deployment, CHCP CIC's employees were dependent on traditional, handwritten whiteboards and their general awareness of wards and bed availability.   Toni Yel, business development manager at CHCP CIC said: "The patient flow management solution is already providing benefits for both our patients and staff in the testing stage. The reduced volume of administration, including regular phone calls to co-ordinate discharge from acute care, means our staff can manage our care services more effectively and efficiently."   The PFM provides a ward-view of patients and bed availability through an intuitive, shallow interface, which allows staff to manage patient information using only a few touches or keystrokes. The solution is simple-to-use and minimal training is required to learn to use the system.   Additional key features of the solution are its fully customisable colour-coding system, allowing users to access comprehensive patient information on one screen.   Toni adds: "The ward view lets us see an overview very quickly, whilst giving us the ability to touch on the patient card and access detailed patient data, such as expected date of discharge.   "We've been very impressed with the skilful way Cayder have used colours to represent patient progress and bed availability. We are now able to see not only the number of beds, but also the type of beds and rooms available. This helps us accommodate patients who have specific needs, for example non-weight bearing patients, who require specialist equipment such as walking aids.   "It's been a pleasure to work with Cayder. They have been very flexible in accommodating all of our needs, and have gone that extra mile to ensure they have delivered a solution to match our specific requirements. For us, to be able to truly mobilise our staff across our three locations by accessing live data, lets us use our clinical systems to their full potential."     Stuart Rankin, managing director at Cayder said: "When we were first approached by CHCP CIC, we could instantly see how our software could help their staff coordinate and integrate care across their different locations. Our passion is driven by helping to deliver better care and more efficient services, by transforming the daily routine of staff. We aim to minimise administration effort so healthcare professionals can focus on caring for the patient."     Notes to Editors   About City Health Care Partnership City Health Care Partnership CIC is a growing independent "for better profit" co-owned business currently providing community, primary health and integrated social care services to over half a million local people in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. | EHI 2012
Friday, 07 December 2012 10:33

We recently exhibited at EHI Live in Birmingham where we had a fantastic time demonstrating our product and answering the many questions people posed to us. We were lucky enough to be opposite Highland Marketing who were celebrating their 10th Anniversary at the show. The celebrations at the end of the first day included some excellent food and drink drawing a large crowd many of whom took the opportunity to talk to us and try Cayder PFM for themselves. The ice creams and cow pat cookies were especially pleasant. This year we chose to share our stand with Savience the kiosk provider who also work with CSC to provide healthcare solutions driven by touch, in fact it's fair to say our end of the hall had a very touch based feel sited as we were right next to mobile massage!Whilst we've been pioneering patient flow solutions powered by touch for some years now it was interesting to see the effect the iPad and iPhone have had on perceptions of usability and acceptance in industry rather than personal settings. A theme we share with Apple relates to making products that people want to use day in and day out. We've also taken the time to add some further videos to our community forum showcasing the new features of Cayder PFM, why not take the time to register and have a look I'd love to hear your feedback. And finally I hope everyone has a fantastic Xmas and a happy New Year. S.

Back in May we attended the Health Informatics 2012 show in Islington, with some support from Sahara Presentation Systems we were able to showcase our Patient Flow Manager product on a large 65" touch enabled screen, judging by the number of people we spoke to over the two days people really liked what they saw.  On day 2 we were lucky enough to have one of our customers, Tony Hallett from Guy's and St Thomas' speak about the use of our software for major incident management at one of the speaker slots in the main arena, you can access a video of the presentation on our website using the following link:TonyMeanwhile in Hull the Chief Executive of Hull and East Yorkshire Trust was interviewed by a local paper about there decision to invest in technology and more importantly deploy our solution across the Trust following a successful trial on a number of wards. The link below will take you to the article which makes great reading on what can be achieved. Hull Daily MailFinally our latest product module is nearing it's first beta deployment, our real time organisation at a glance module provides customers with a live set of indicator cards displaying key metrics for the organisation and allowing a drill down facility to move from Organisation to Ward/Team and onto individual patient/bed level data. As always fully configurable to each customer's needs, why not ring us and arrange a demo it would be great to get your impressions. That's all for now hope you enjoyed the update. S.

| Sharing Knowledge, is video part of the answer?
Tuesday, 10 April 2012 08:54

Recently we decided to create a work experience opportunity at Cayder and during the last 4 weeks we've had a very talented young man working with us, gaining a practical experience of working in a software business. James spent his time with us creating some fantastic videos including commentary that demonstrate and explain some of the key features provided by our software. You can access them in our community area after a simple registration process. I'd encourage you to take a look at his work, we'll keep expanding the library to include new features as we add them to Cayder PFM. We hope you'll find it valuable when considering how best to enhance your use of our software and gain the maximum return on investment. Please let me have any feedback you have, we want to make sure it builds into a valuable knowledge base for the future. And finally thanks again from all of us to James for a job well done, his self-starting creativity really shone through, you can contact him by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. | Local Health Community at a Glance

Local Health Community at a Glance Here at Cayder we've been quietly expanding the team and enhancing our products to include a range of new features and capabilities supporting improved patient flow along the care pathway, connecting organisations and enabling a shift from Organisational Status at a Glance to Local Health Community at a Glance.   Cayder Patient Flow Manager Software Suite Launched As part of that we've renamed our OpenWard product to more accurately describe the capabilities it provides. Cayder Patient Flow Manager (PFM) is a suite of solutions that allows organisations to start small if required and build incrementally into a full pan organisation solution, recent developments allow us to connect multiple organisations allowing patient discharges to become seamless managed admissions to care providers further along the care pathway, improving continuity, alleviating administrative burden and reducing delays. Where agreed, GP's can also access a real-time view of their patients together with the key activity status indicators and plans, that make up their care pathway and progress.   Cayder Website and Customer Videos Alongside that we've re-worked our web site to make it easier for potential customers to understand our products and the benefits being achieved in live deployments, you'll now find a selection of videos that have enabled our customers to share their experiences. Here's a link to one of the clips where you'll find Jennifer a Clinical Pharmacist describing the benefits our software makes every day to patients and carers at her Trust. http://www. cayder. co. uk/ahp. html   Cayder Exhibiting at the Health Informatics Congress 2012 And if that hasn't fuelled your interest enough to pick up the phone and give us a call you'll be able to visit us on stand 78 at HIC 2012 on May the 2nd and 3rd at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.   On the stand you'll be able to talk to us directly and on one of the days we'll be joined by some of our customers who will be happy to discuss the experience they have of working with Cayder. You'll also be able to try our software for yourself on a full size touch screen. Finally at 10.00AM on Wednesday the 3rd May in the Best Practice Theatre we'll be presenting on the subject of:   Improving the lives of patients and carers in an IT enabled world   Something we're really passionate about, we look forward to seeing you in May.
